Position Summary:  As an entry level asphalt laborer you will be required to listen and learn the many aspects of properly placing and finishing asphalt for overlays, new installations, patching in both commercial and residential environments.  Work requires asphalt raking, shoveling, and distributing asphalt mixtures, is labor intensive, dirty, and includes long hot days in an environment in which working conditions can be only partially controlled. Work is performed under the direction of an Asphalt Paving Crew Chief.

Responsibilities:  Uses shovels and rakes in distributing asphalt evenly over surfaces to obtain proper grade and conform the needed layout specifications.  l  Operate plate tampers as needed and smooth joints, gutters, and connections.  l  Operate plate tampers as needed to surfaces inaccessible with a roller.  l  Utilize hand and pneumatic powered tools to pick and break up old asphalt surfacing.  l  Assist in removal of old asphalt and performs other tasks incidental to the asphalt raking and repair process.  l Participate in our safety programs through Toolbox Talks.  l  Maintain supportive communications with Asphalt Paving Crew Chief.  l   Report equipment issues from the field or any maintenance items that need to be addressed.  l   Must be able to get to and from work daily on time, able to lift between 50 and 75 pounds, willing to work long days and weekends when needed, and 18 years of age or older.

Educational Background:  High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:  At least 2 years of asphalt experience in repairing and installing asphalt material.

Location:  Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont Area - CO.

Offering:  Starting pay is $14 to $15 per hour depending on having been issued a valid driver’s license.

Position Summary:  As a concrete laborer you will be required to breakout, remove, and clean work areas of concrete for replacement using hands, shovels and mechanical equipment.  Additionally, you must be able to read grade shots and levels in order to set forms.  Work requires the pouring of concrete along with smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete patios, stairs, sidewalks, or curb and gutters using floats, trowels, and screeds.  The successful candidate will need to be able to broom finish concrete and needs to be willing to clean job site as required.

Responsibilities:  Utilize machinery and hand equipment to remove concrete.  l Familiarity with establishing proper grades.  l  Operate concrete chute, wheelbarrow or buggies.  l  Utilize shovels, floats, trowels, and screeds to distibute and finish concrete.  l  Apply broom finishes.  l  Remove forms and clean job site of all construction equipment and debris.  l  Ability to convey ideas, facts, technical information, options, opinions, or perceptions accurately.  l  Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.  l Ability to bend, stoop and or squat.  l Must be able to lift, pull, push, and exert up to 75 pounds frequently in many various positions.  l Must be able to work outdoors in wet, cold (below freezing), or hot weather.  l Must provide own hand tools including personal tool bags; hammer; measuring tape; chalk line; tie wire tool; trowels; work boots; rubber boots; and gloves.  l Participate in safety programs through Toolbox Talks.  l  All other duties as assigned.  l  Maintain supportive communications with Asphalt Paving Crew Chief.  l   Report equipment issues from the field or any maintenance items that need to be addressed.  l   Must be able to get to and from work daily on time, willing to work long days and weekends when needed, and 18 years of age or older.

Position Summary: To continue our success and growth, Superior Aggregates is searching for a qualified and ambitious individual to perform maintenance and repairs to our fleet of trucks and equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner as needed.

Responsibilities Utilizing Best Practices and Independent Judgment: Perform preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, and routine maintenance.  Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on equipment and trucks.  Maintain and repair gas powered trucks and mechanical systems.  Maintain and repair small engine tools and equipment.  Accurately order needed parts from vendors and parts store. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, disassemble, inspects and replace worn or broken parts.  Fit and adjust new or repaired parts.

 Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, hydraulics, cooling systems, exhaust, brakes, suspensions, lights, etc. on a variety of yard equipment, heavy duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment.  Safely operates gauges, shop truck, torches, grinders, and various hand and power tools required to complete these responsibilities.  Travel to the field for field repairs as needed.  Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists.  Act as point of contact for field supervisors and employees to record and discuss equipment needs and repairs.  Review truck logs and other information for service schedule and maintenance.  Collect and respond to any equipment issues from the field that need to be addressed.  Communicate trucking and equipment needs or changes.  Participate in safety programs through Toolbox Talks and direct observation while encouraging employee sharing of ideas for safety improvement related to truck and equipment safety.  Participate in accident investigations, reporting, and the implementation of corrective actions and measures when necessary.  Discuss and support the adherence of OSHA roles, rules, and responsibilities.  Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

Educational Background: High School diploma or equivalent. Additional degrees or Mechanic Certifications are a plus.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience with fleet vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, diesel and gas engines; Ability to perform in shop and field repairs; Ability to read and understand technical manuals; Must have own tools; Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Experience in operating heavy equipment preferred; Knowledge and familiarity with detail to safety and quality.

Responsibilities: Support our safety programs through Toolbox Talks and direct observation while encouraging employee sharing of ideas for safety improvement.  l Participate in accident investigations, reporting, and the implementation of corrective actions and measures.  l Discuss and support the adherence of OSHA roles, rules, and responsibilities. l Engage in Customer Orientation, Q&A, and warranty issues. l Act as point of contact for positive interaction with Estimators, Customers, Project Managers, Subcontractors and Inspectors on job site. l Maintain supportive communications with crews, best meeting their requirements and utilizing assets. l Assist with the bidding process as needed. l Reviewing completed job sheets in relation to utilized material, equipment, and labor. l Oversee short and long range schedules. l Report on performance Indicators and delinquencies. l Report equipment issues from the field or any maintenance items that need to be addressed. l Oversee truck logs and DOT reporting requirements. l Responsible for controlling crew costs and making timely changes as necessary to meet or exceed estimated job and or material requirements. l Manage and schedule any subcontractors associated with completion of projects and order/confirm all locate requirements as needed. l Communicate trucking and equipment needs or changes. ll Communicate and order asphalt with asphalt plants regarding daily and future tonnage volumes and any plant capacity constraints. l Initiate and support employee development through coaching and training, supporting the development of all employees and their success. l Communicate with crews to ensure daily job duties and plans are executed effectively. l Conduct annual performance reviews related to employee goals and company direction. l Responsible for hiring and termination of hourly employees in accordance with policy.

Educational Background: High School diploma or equivalent with an undergraduate degree preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of supervisory experience, at least 5 years industry experience demonstrating adherence to excellent detail to safety and quality. Strong computer and technology skills.
